August Dates:

August 8

Agrodome (sheep shearing) and time for shopping. Lunch at agrodome and bungy jumping for the brave. Walk to Tamaki Maori Village in evening, hangi dinner, and tour of traditional Maori crafts

At the Agrodome, we saw lots and lots of animals, including many varieties of sheep, some alpaca, and some deer. The day started with a sheep show to acquaint us with all the different types of sheep and their origins.

Can you guess the origin of the sheep on the right in the photo below?

Kelsey and Courtney pose with a Poll Dorset.

He's working with a dog who is herding sheep into the pen.

Here's an alpaca.

The noble ostrich, the largest bird in the world.

At the Agrodome, there were plenty of opportunities for daring fun, including bungy jumping and "swooping" in a sack.

Rick was one of those brave souls to bungy jump.

Here are Kelsey, Rick, and Brittany after a swoop.

Kelsey and Courtney had their swoop.
